2017-06-13

At Beijing International Exhibition on Buses, Trucks and Components, Golden Dragonunveiled its upgraded Kast business coach to the public.

Equipped with a V8 gasoline-powered engine and a six-speed transmission gearbox manufactured by GE, the vehicle delivers powerful performances for customers. The 4.8 liter V8 engine has a rate power of 200 kw and a maximum torque of 380 N.m, ensuring the vehicle’s impressively smooth operation. A test shows that it only takes 25 seconds for the coach to reach a speed of 100 km/h. Besides, the vehicle achieves higher fuel economy. With innovative clean energy technologies, the vehicle does not require urea for maintenance.

The noise level is a key factor in deciding the quality of a vehicle. The new Kast business coach is far more successful than its domestic counterparts in cutting its noise level. When in operation with a speed of 90 km/h, the vehicle only generates noise at 71 db outside, 7o db at the front inside, 67.7 db at the middle, and 62 db at the back thanks to its newly upgraded AC system and NVH technology.

In terms of safety measures, the new Kast is equipped with ABS, front and rear disc braking systems. Its front independent suspension makes the travel less bumpy and more stable for passengers. In addition, its unique eddy current retarder enables the vehicle to drive more smoothly on both highways and zigzag mountain roads.

Measuring 7,045 mm in length, 2,050 mm in width and 2,890 mm in height, Kast business coach has a roof window, making the interior brighter. The seats at the last row could also be folded so as to make more room for luggage.

Built on the success of its predecessors, the new generation Kast assumes a more luxury air with sedan-car like dashboard and wider seats with three-point safety belts. Its streamlined and more integrated dashboard is another highlight. The 10-inch camera display screen and other furnishings give the vehicle extra touch of elegance and ingenuity. The coach can mount 10 t0 23 seats according to customers varying needs and operation purposes.

Making its debut in 1997, Kast has been gaining popularity among customers. To date, Kast has sold over 40,000 units, accounting for more than 26% in the market segment. In 2008, it was officially exempted from government’s quality inspection. During its two-decade history, it has such models with Hyundai chassis or electric version to suit customers’ changing demands.
